The CITEPLAN Team
The ladies of CITEPLAN bring together different elements that make them a team to be reckoned with. CITEPLAN’s expertise and knowledge of spatial planning, land use management, local authority planning and management, strategy and policy development, urban design and settlement planning make it well-placed to offer an excellent product.
ERIVA NANYONJO
Eriva is the youngest member of the CITEPLAN team, with over 8 years’ experience, a Masters in Urban Planning from the University of the Free State and a with a passion for research development and education. Her background in Architecture and Spatial Planning allows her to straddle the line of urban design and her academic background warrants her to be an excellent researcher. If Eriva is not at a Toastmasters meeting, you will find her getting lost in the words of a novel – her favourite type of reading material.

ISTELL ORTON
Istell is Professional Planner with a Masters in Urban Planning from the University of the Free State and has a heart for the upliftment of communities. With over 25 years’ experience, she leads the Strategic wing of CITEPLAN and has led a number of high profile strategic projects, pulling together diverse mutli-disciplinary teams. Her strengths lie in facilitating long term plans and visions as well as in the integration of different work streams. In her spare time, Istell can be found crocheting her next gift or hitting the road with her next marathon in mind.

CHARLOTTE VAN DER MERWE
Charlotte is a Project Management Professional and a Professional Planner with a degree in Town & Regional Planning from the University of Pretoria, with a passion for seeing ideas come to life. She has over 32 years’ experience within the planning sphere, having previously run her own successful planning practice, been a manager at a large engineering firm and finally collaborating to form CITEPLAN. Her strengths are statutory planning, project management, the packaging of projects for PPP or private funding purposes. In her spare time Charlotte loves to spend time with family, exercise her creative muscle with various mediums and spend time in her garden.
